Friends & Co Partners with FamilyMeans to Expand “Let’s Do Coffee” Program in Washington County

Friends & Co is thrilled to partner with FamilyMeans to expand the Let’s Do Coffee program, aimed at fostering social connections among older LGBTQ+ adults in Washington County, MN.
The program offers a warm, inclusive space where community members can come together over free coffee, snacks, and conversation.

The expansion will launch on Wednesday, February 12th, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM, at FamilyMeans (Desch Room), located at 1875 Northwestern Avenue S, Stillwater, MN. Let’s Do Coffee will continue on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. No RSVP is required, and interested participants can sign up for updates at friendsco.org/lets-do-lunch-and-lets-do-coffee.

This partnership aligns with the missions of both organizations. Friends & Co is dedicated to reducing social isolation among older adults, with a special focus on the LGBTQ+ community. FamilyMeans, which has served Washington County and beyond for over 60 years, is committed to supporting individuals and families in overcoming life’s challenges through community-centered services.

By expanding Let’s Do Coffee, both organizations aim to address the growing need for social opportunities for older LGBTQ+ adults, who often face heightened risks of loneliness and isolation.
