Friends & Co Unveils New Community Connector Van
St. Paul, MN – Friends & Co, a volunteer lead MN nonprofit, has launched its latest initiative to connect people and communities through its brand-new Community Connector Van.
Friends & Co recently unveiled the van, which is set to bring community connections and conversations to older adults across Minnesota. The van, which is brightly colored and adorned with the Friends & Co logo, is already turning heads on the road.
Friends & Co will travel with the van to different towns and cities throughout the state, host events, and engage with locals. The van will be equipped with café tables and umbrellas, creating a comfortable and inviting space for people to gather over coffee and treats to connect and share while also learning about the benefits of strong social connections and the many ways they could engage with Friends & Co. This will provide an opportunity for individuals to come together, enjoy a cup of coffee or a snack and engage in meaningful conversations with one another.
The Community Connector Van is a great example of how community-led organizations can help create positive change where they reside. With the Community Connector Van, Friends & Co will foster stronger connections among people in communities state-wide and provide a platform for older adults to connect with one another, share experiences, offer support, and provide valuable feedback. Friends & Co will share information they gather with policymakers, community leaders, and other service providers regarding the specific needs older adults in their communities self-identify. Friends & Co is excited about this new van’s possibilities to create opportunities for people to connect, engage with one another, and make Minnesota a stronger and healthier place to grow older! They also hope it will inspire other organizations and individuals to take action and create even more connected communities.
