Join Friends & Co Wednesday, Sept. 20, 11 am-2 pm, at the Ukrainian American Center, 301 Main St. NE. Three highly regarded senior advocates are speakers for this event. Keynote speakers are Margaret “Pook” Grathwol, elder law attorney, focusing on elder & CADI waivers and whether to choose a trust or will; Nancy Haugen, president of Elder Voice Advocates and Elder IQ, a statewide organization that ranks housing providers from 1 to 5 stars; and Deb Schmit, supervisor of Hennepin County Adult Protection, on how to spot elder abuse and report it. Many housing providers and senior service providers will have tables at the fair. Free and open to the public. Coffee and a light lunch will be provided for all attendees.
