Sallie is a warm, welcoming woman whose life reflects deep connections to family, faith, and community. Born in the rural town of Hazlehurst, Mississippi, she spent her early years surrounded by the quiet beauty of country life. As an only child, she later became part of a larger extended family through her father, and she has always treasured the sense of belonging that family brings.
After moving to Jackson as a teenager, Sallie enjoyed high school, especially English, and built lasting friendships. She married her high school sweetheart, Willie, and together they created a loving home in Minnesota, where they raised two sons. Sallie worked in sewing factories and later at U.S. Bank, where she appreciated the friendly atmosphere and her role helping customers.
Family has always been at the heart of Sallie’s life. She cherishes memories of gatherings, celebrations, and road trips back to Mississippi. Today, she is the proud matriarch of a large and growing family, including grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren.
Faith is also central to Sallie’s life. She has been an active member of her Baptist church for over 70 years, serving as a deaconess and finding joy in worship and fellowship.
Sallie would love to connect with a friendly volunteer for conversation, shopping trips, or getting out for a drive. She enjoys meaningful conversation, shared laughter, and simple companionship. She welcomes visits at times that work for you and prefers to be paired with a female volunteer.
Sallie lives with her husband, who has Alzheimer’s. She also shares her life with a small spaniel named Gigi and a large cat named Buddy.
